Fraud Prevention Service

First Tech's Fraud Prevention System helps prevent card fraud

We might be texting, calling or emailing you

First Tech uses state-of-the-art technology to help prevent potential card fraud. If a card purchase appears suspicious, we'll try to contact you via text, email and/or a phone call. If someone is using your account fraudulently, we can prevent additional activity from occurring. If we contact you, please take a moment to talk to our fraud investigator to verify your card activity.

Pre-Travel Check in
Please let us know if you're planning to travel. If you make purchases in areas you normally don't, you may inadvertently trigger the system. Let us know your travel itinerary in advance and we can make a note in your account. This can minimize the chances that your activity will trigger a fraud prevention alert. Give us a call at 855.855.8805 or log into Online Banking and send us a secure message with the dates of your travels and the cities/countries you'll be visiting.

Important
If our security experts call or email you, they'll never ask for your full account number; they already have that information. For your protection, never give your full account information, PIN or 3-digit code to anyone who calls you on the phone or contacts you by email, no matter how legitimate the request may sound. However, if you are the one calling the Contact Center, we may ask you some security questions; we do this to verify your identity and prevent fraud.
