People Helping People.

Over the last decade, First Tech has proudly invested over $20M into the community to support the next generation of leaders, thinkers and innovators.

We direct our dollars and time to organizations that support the next generation of leaders, thinkers and innovators. Our partners provide programs and services for children and families ensuring that children have the tools they need to learn, be healthy, and succeed.

Grants

We fund innovative solutions for children and their families. Our grants program focuses in two key areas: education and fundamental needs. Working with our community partners, our funding provides access to STEM education for underserved communities and fuels new programs to address our communities’ most urgent needs.

Community education Icon Education

We focus on helping underserved communities build the infrastructure and resources to think creatively, problem-solve and innovate—to succeed today and lead tomorrow. We target our support for education in three key areas:

  • Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)
  • Early childhood literacy
  • Financial education

We support our communities’ essential needs – ensuring that children and families have access to the food, shelter, and healthcare they need to learn, grow, and thrive. We target support for fundamental needs in these three areas:

  • Hunger
  • Shelter
  • Community Health

Credit Unions for Kids

More than thirty years ago, First Tech helped found Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids), a national movement benefiting children and families served at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This collaborative effort has been a catalyst for change; funding life-saving research, innovative technology and supportive care that ensure children have access to the best care possible when they need it most. First Tech employees and members annually give back to Credit Unions for Kids by volunteering, donating and holding fundraising events each summer, raising millions of dollars over the years for children in our communities.

Scholarships

For more than a decade, we’ve supported our members’ educational dreams through our scholarship program. Award recipients have used these funds to attend college, university, career and technical programs around the world, fueling their futures and supporting the next generation of our communities.

Season of Giving

We recognize that we can only give back because of you: our members, employees, and the local communities where we live and work.

Every Season of Giving, we invite our employees, members, and the broader community to engage in the shared experience of volunteering and donating to causes they’re passionate about.
