First Tech Makes a Difference with Credit Unions for Kids

We’re thrilled once again to share our work with the Credit Unions for Kids (CU4K) annual fundraising campaign, benefitting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). The campaign gives us a chance to celebrate our heroes—the families, caregivers and hospital team members—who spread hope and build strength through acts of kindness and moments of joy, both small and large. They show us that together, we’re stronger than the obstacles we face.

In 2022, First Tech set a credit union-wide goal of $100,000 raised for six children’s hospitals: Seattle Children’s Hospital, UC Davis Children’s Hospital, OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital Colorado, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Throughout June, First Tech hosted a variety of fundraising and volunteer events to show support for the Credit Unions for Kids campaign, and our First Tech families went above and beyond to accomplish our goal this year. In total, Insurance representatives contributed to fundraising events and volunteer opportunities during the month of fundraising.

By the time June was over, First Tech had surpassed our $100,000 goal. Our Insurance team worked together with members, colleagues, credit union partners and vendors, and collectively raised a record-breaking $187,057.02 for CMNH. That money will be provided directly to the six regional children’s hospitals listed above, with 100% of every dollar contributed applied directly toward life-saving research, innovative medical technology, and supportive care.

We are so proud to see these record-breaking results for the annual Credit Unions for Kids campaign. Let’s do it again next year, with yet another a new record!
