ATM and Branch Access

Your travels may take you to the far corners of the country, but you’re likely still near one of our 30,000 CO-OP ATMs or 5,000 CO-OP Shared Branches. First Tech members can complete regular transactions surcharge-free at these ATMs and shared branches.

FAQs

Can I use ATMs in other countries?

You can use any ATM that displays a logo on the back of your card (regardless of location). The financial institution that owns the ATM may charge a fee and/or only withdraw from one account type. For example, if a machine only withdraws from checking accounts, it will deny your request if you only have a savings account.

 

Is there a fee to use my First Tech debit card internationally?

There is a 1% international transaction fee on the total purchase amount for any Debit Mastercard or ATM card.

 

Is there a fee to use my First Tech credit card internationally?

No, First Tech credit cards do not have foreign transaction fees!

 

How do I use my First Tech credit card internationally?

For the most part, you'll use your credit card in other countries, the same way you do at home. One difference is that you may be asked to enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to complete your transaction, so be sure to have that memorized. Don't write it down, and keep your card and PIN separate. If you need to change your PIN, log into Manage Cards in Digital Banking. Your new PIN will be ready to use right away.

Our international phone number is 1.503.644.4034 and can be found on the back of our First Tech card. 

 

What if I don’t remember my PIN?

To set or change your Debit or Credit PIN log in to Manage Cards via Digital Banking.

If you’re near a First Tech location, feel free to visit and we’ll help you out. Otherwise, give us a call at 855.855.8805 at least 8 business days before your departure so we can mail you a new card and PIN.
