Rich serves the Colorado community as a First Tech agent in our Fort Collins and Loveland Experience Centers. As a native Coloradan, Rich is engrained in his community and interacts with clients in grocery stores, at local events and pretty much everywhere he goes. This familiarity gives him an edge when it comes to understanding the needs of his clients.

Rich was in his office one day in 2014 when he received a call from 5280 Magazine, a well-established publication that covers news and culture in the greater Denver area. They told him that he was being recognized as one of the area’s top home and auto insurance professionals. “I didn’t even know I was being considered. At first I thought it was a scam,” he said. “Turns out the recognition was the result of feedback from my clients.” The honor was one of many examples of Rich’s commitment to his clients.

As an avid outdoor enthusiast, his passion for a long time has been triathlons. He’s competed in many triathlons over the years, including six Ironman competitions, which involve a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile marathon run. He has competed in the Hawaiian Ironman three times, and the Canadian Ironman three times as well. Since Rich likes doing things in threes, he has earned three degrees from the University of Northern Colorado. These include Business Administration, Marketing and Computer Information Science.

He’s been in the insurance industry for over ten years, following a career at Hewlett Packard that saw him traveling a lot to Asia and Australia. Rich pours his best into everything that he does—or as he says it—“I always bring my A-game.” Rich carries this positive attitude every day to help his clients and credit union members, and we’re proud to have him in our First Tech family.
