Tom Gifford
Director; Chair, Supervisory Committee
Tom joined the First Tech board in 1987 after several years on the Supervisory Committee. He currently serves on the Enterprise Risk Committee and chairs the Supervisory Committee.
Tom is retired from a 35-year career in product management and marketing with technology companies such as Tektronix, Mentor Graphics, and Symantec. He earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from Carnegie‐Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in Physics and Economics from Amherst College.
He has previously served on the board of Oregon’s Health CO‐OP and on the board of Artists Repertory Theatre. He regularly volunteers as a teacher of personal finance in Portland area high schools with Financial Beginnings. Tom lives in Portland, Oregon.
